Beethoven
A prize-winner at the 2002 Mottram show, Beethoven, like his namesake, is hard of hearing, having been beaten around the head when young. He was found, very neglected, on a local farm but has proven to be a most intelligent donkey who enjoys “larking about” with his pals. He regularly takes part in Christmas and Palm Sunday celebrations and, in 2003, he went on a pilgrimage to Assisi on behalf of all mistreated donkeys.
