Conker
Conker was brought here as a foal along with his friend Bramble and his mum Ebony. Conker was very distressed because he had just been separated from his mother for the first time. We wanted to bring Conker’s mother here to the Trust too but the Breeders refused because they still wanted her for breeding. The breeders had not weaned Conker off his mother’s milk properly before separating them and so he kept trying to feed on Ebony’s milk who naturally kept pushing him away because she was feeding her own son Bramble. Conker was distressed for quite a while but he is now settled and is a friendly and confident donkey
