Emily
Emily was found, tied to a lamp post, in a local market place. We went to collect her and asked the police to trace her owners as she is a rare and valuable “Trumpet Donkey”. Her owners were never found and, to our delight, we found that she was pregnant. She was named after the Coronation Street character Emily Bishop when she was adopted by Eileen Derbyshire. She provided the Trust with its first foal just before Christmas.
