When he was only a few months old, Thistle was rescued, along with his mum, Polo, from the Beeston Meat Market - at the same time as Dolly and Beattie. Having two white Jennies with two white foals caused a few recognition problems until their characters developed. Thistle is a quiet, gentle donkey who loves everyone.
